IRVINE, Calif. (October 2, 2000) - LifeMasters® a leading provider of interactive disease management services, and its Web site, www.LifeMasters.com, were named as one of the top ten providers of online health and disease management by the Health Industries Research Companies (HIRC), a company that examines trends in the managed care industry.

LifeMasters was selected as a "Top Ten Online Disease Management Firm" for its proven excellence in the categories of continuous data entry, zone stratification, exception reporting and email reminders.

LifeMasters’ interactive disease management has been available through participating managed care organizations and health plans since 1994, with an emphasis on the management of chronic diseases, such as congestive heart failure, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, hypertension, and coronary artery disease. LifeMasters covers these conditions alone or in combination (co-morbidities).

In 1999, LifeMasters launched the first interactive health management site for consumers.
