LIFEMASTERS APPOINTS STEVEN S. EISENBERG, M.D., VICE PRESIDENT OF HEALTH INFORMATICS AND ANALYTICS

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., September 25, 2007 – LifeMasters Supported SelfCare, Inc., a leading provider of health promotion and disease management programs and services, today announced the appointment of Steven S. Eisenberg, M.D., as vice president of health informatics and analytics. In this role, Dr. Eisenberg will build and lead the Health Informatics and Analytics team, as well as assist with new program development, customer interface and sales support.

Dr. Eisenberg brings to LifeMasters more than 28 years of experience as a physician senior executive and medical infomaticist with broad based experience in medicine; healthcare administration; computer systems; development, use and interpretation of clinical data; and business administration. Most recently, he served as chief science officer at UnitedHealthcare, where he oversaw all clinical data, clinical information systems, and their transparency programs.  He also held positions of Partner, Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Phoenix Healthcare Intelligence, LLC; senior medical director of the Health Management Division at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota; medical director of the Department of Medical Management at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota; and medical director at Rapid City Community Health Center, which he helped establish from the ground up. Early in his career, he was a practicing family medicine physician and oversaw the Family Medicine Residency Program at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine.

Dr. Eisenberg received his medical degree from SUNY, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and his bachelor's degree in biological sciences from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ.  He is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the American College of Physician Executives, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and American Health Information Management Association.  He is also a professor, published author and journal editor.
