Ms. Selecky has served on the organization's Board of Directors and in a variety of roles including president-elect (2004), secretary (2002) and as chairman of the association's government affairs committee for the past four years. Highlights of Ms. Selecky's tenure in that role include testimony before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce's sub-committee regarding the success of disease management among Medicaid recipients and in advocacy efforts to include disease management into the fee for service Medicare population through the Medicare Modernization and Prescription Drug Act signed into law in December of 2003. Subsequent to the passage of the bill, Ms. Selecky testified before the Health Subcommittee of the House Ways and Means Committee on the implementation of the Chronic Care Improvement Program, and has also led the industry responses to requests from CMS for input into the development process.
